Since our commencement in 1995, Agricola has grown to become the country’s dominant provider of crop and forestry insurance. This growth has been in response to the passion we have for rural Australia and New Zealand and our commitment to work with our brokers and agents to service the diverse needs of farmers, corporate agribusiness, grower organisations and government. Our staff understand agriculture and forestry. We also understand the important role that insurance plays in managing risk. We work with our customers to identify the best and most cost effective risk management solutions.
We recognise that our brokers work in a competitive and time demanding market place. The uncertainties and complexities of the agricultural and forestry sectors also demand an unprecedented knowledge of farming practices, markets, the weather, and risk management. Our commitment to you, our brokers, is to work with you to provide the best products for your clients in a timely, efficient, friendly and responsive environment. Our commitment to you, our growers, is to offer cost effective products which respond to your needs, and to settle claims fairly and quickly with a minimum of fuss.
Agricola is committed to supporting the rural communities through special appeals and ongoing community support programs. Through Rotary, Agricola has been a major financial supporter of many disaster appeals and a homeless youth support program. Agricola also has an environmental policy which focuses on electronic business processes and a move to a ‘paperless’ office. Agricola has reduced its reliance on ‘hard copy’ office procedures by 85% over 3 years.
